Artificial intelligence and biotechnology: accelerating scientific research

Artificial intelligence is transforming numerous sectors, from industry and finance to education, medicine and scientific research.

In the field of biotechnology and biomedical research, where Biomol operates, AI-based technologies allow the analysis of large volumes of biological data, the identification of patterns in genetic information and the modelling of complex biological processes.

These capabilities are helping to accelerate scientific discovery, optimize experimental processes and improve the development of new biomedical solutions.

Thanks to advanced algorithms, it is now possible to improve genomic data analysis, support the development of innovative therapies and optimize experimental design in biomedical research.

During the event, a key idea was highlighted: artificial intelligence does not replace human talent — it enhances it.

AI-based tools expand the ability to analyse and process data, but scientific knowledge, critical thinking and the creativity of professionals remain the driving forces behind the most significant advances.

For technology and scientific companies such as Biomol, specialized in research and biotechnology solutions, the adoption of AI-based tools represents an opportunity to drive innovation and improve efficiency in advanced research environments.

University–industry collaboration: a key driver for innovation

Another central theme of the event was the importance of strengthening collaboration between universities and companies to foster innovation and technological development.

Universities play a fundamental role in training professionals with critical thinking, analytical skills and strategic vision. Companies, on the other hand, contribute practical knowledge and direct contact with real market challenges.

When both environments collaborate, innovation ecosystems emerge where academic knowledge connects with business reality, facilitating the development of applied technological solutions.

In this context, initiatives promoted by Loyola University and the Sevilla FC Business Club help create spaces where institutions, companies and professionals can meet, share knowledge and collaborate across sectors.

These initiatives bring digital transformation and artificial intelligence closer to the business ecosystem, facilitating the adoption of technologies that enhance competitiveness and economic growth.

Artificial intelligence applied to business: a practical perspective

During the event, Álex López shared a practical perspective on how companies can integrate artificial intelligence into their business strategy to improve productivity, optimize processes and generate measurable results.

Through concrete examples and real-world experiences, it became clear how AI can become a strategic tool to improve operational efficiency, automate processes and support data-driven decision-making.

At Biomol, initiatives like this are particularly valued because they bring technological innovation closer to the business ecosystem, facilitating access to knowledge and encouraging collaboration between companies, academic institutions and professionals.

Participation in this meeting reinforces Biomol’s commitment to scientific innovation, knowledge transfer and the development of technologies that contribute to advances in research and biotechnology.
